Fantasy Match company update: we are making a pivot.
We are pivoting: we’re building a community platform for couples & solos. The app is currently in the public beta. The official launch will come later in Q2.
I made a major pivot in my own life, in 2016, when I shifted from marcomm & martech to the #sextech industry. That year, I started the SEX.Prostir project, an educational, offline TED-like platform where people could discuss sex. We were motivated not by money, but by the idea of changing people’s attitudes towards sex, creating a platform based on science & educational content.
And now I am organically combining both of my passions — for sex education & community-building — into the product.
The app consists of three major components:
1. Education. The app provides a variety of educational content about sex, sexual fantasies, BDSM practices, conscious relationships, polyamory, and so on.
2. Games & entertainment. Couples can create and play in rooms with partners — they can swipe cards showing sexual fantasies, and find out which fantasies they have in common.
3. Community. If the user is in an active city, he or she can view the profiles of other users and send requests to chat. In the future, users will be able to discuss educational content together.
What’s our purpose? We are convinced that sincerely reflecting on our own “sexual selves” is the key. This means studying sexuality, thinking deeply about desire, and having intimate discussions in order to extend our own boundaries and open new possibilities. We want more people to better understand themselves, to feel comfortable talking about their desires, and to strive to make their lives sexually conscious.
What’s our mission? We strive to create a sex-positive society founded on a mature attitude towards intimacy and sexual education. In the app, we are creating a space in which people can safely explore intimacy. We create all content in accordance with our Mindful Guidelines, which prioritize self-reflection, consent, and sensual intimacy.
